Saint Peter's Choir
This dedicated group of approximately
eighteen adults meets twice every week (Thursdays and Sunday),
and sings almost every Sunday between September and June. This
group provides fellowship, musical instruction and, most importantly,
enjoyment to all of its members.
Men and women as well as high school students are welcomed and
encouraged to join the Saint Peter's choir regardless of singing
experience. A weekly commitment is not necessary to join the
choir and all are encouraged to try it out for a few weeks to
see if it is right for them.
With a focus on the music of the English
cathedral tradition, the repertoire of the Saint Peter's Choir
spans many centuries and traditions. In addition to leading the
singing of congregational hymns and service music, the Saint
Peter's Choir sings a musical setting of the appointed psalm,
an offertory anthem and a communion anthem each Sunday.
The Saint Peter's Choir rehearses every Thursday from 7:30 - 9:30
PM and Sundays at 9 AM before the 10 AM service. The choir
occasionally meets for Choir Retreats outside of the regularly
scheduled practice times. For more information, please contact John Pivarnik, Minister
of Music.
