Cherub Choir
Geared towards children grades two and under
and their parents, this choir prepares young children for a life of
musical literacy. This choir introduces children and their parents
to singing and adds another dimension to the bond shared between parent
and child.
Through the Cherub Choir, Saint Peter's
is proud to offer a complete educational program that helps children
develop a deep love of music and the ability to express it. We demonstrate
the many benefits children gain by taking part in our music and movement
program, encompassing musical, physical, emotional, social and cognitive
growth. In collaboration with parents, the child establishes a solid
music foundation - tuning their voice, developing their aural skills,
promoting control of gross and fine motor movements - all in the context
of a variety of natural habitats. Central to a child's development,
a 2007 Reuters Poll shows us that 88% of all post-graduate students
in college and 83% of all people earning $150,000 or more had extensive
music training.
