Their life is one of prayer, worship, and work. Good Shepherd Home now houses over 35 children who are fed, clothed, educated and loved. They care for street children whose parents have died of AIDS or other illness, and for those people who daily come for food, medical care, and a multitude of other problems. Worship and work in the local Anglican church is an important part of the community's ministry as well as operating a bakery that provides bread for the children of the Good Shepherd Home and the hungry. All this grew from the vision of Sr. Jane Mankaa, Superior of the Sisters of Bethany.The Community of St. John Baptist, Mendham, NJ is a strong supporter by their prayer, and money raising activities as well as making a visit each year to encourage and them.
